Hanazono Base Area

At the base of Hanazono is the 308 day lodge. A great place to enjoy lunch or a mid-day coffee and kick back in between skiing or snowboarding Strawberry fields or the famous Hanazono peak to pipe to park run(s). There are a few accommodation choices around the quiet base area of Hanazono to get you out on the lifts early and out of the Hirafu crowds. The near-by town of Kutchan is free for lift pass holders via shuttle bus and offers plenty of spots to stay and things to do as well. Kutchan has 3 supermarkets, many bars in the night life district, traditional Japanese restaurants and ski+snowboards shops to keep you entertained.
