How'd the Season Shape Up
22 Mar, 2014
With spring setting in we thought it was time to look at how the season here in Niseko has shaped up.
At our station in Annupuri 1357cm as of the 17 March had fallen and on the upper mountain of Annupuri the base was 395cm on the 17 March and as of today is down to 370cm, with half of that at the base or 200cm.
Earlier in the seasn we looked at how much snow is needed to get the off piste open on Niseko Annupuri and the backcountry , below are some photos of the same location from our blog How much snow do we need?, just above the top gondola station on Annupuri Ski Resort, with the last photo showing that nearly all the trees are now covered. With the weather looking like it has a spring in its step the bases will now continue to melt but still plenty of riding to be done.
